Geography Curriculum Statement
At St Andrew's Infant School, we want our children to enjoy, value and respect their natural world. We aim to do this by encouraging a deep understanding and knowledge of their world and their place in it.
Alongside the ethos of St Andrew’s, the geography curriculum helps to develop the children morally, socially and culturally by comparing our local area with places around the globe. We seek to inspire in children a curiosity and fascination about the world - it’s people and it’s places - which will remain with them for the rest of their lives.
Our geography curriculum helps to progressively develop transferrable skills through discussion and investigation, encouraging children to appreciate the world and the resources it provides. At St Andrew’s we shape our geography curriculum to ensure it is fully inclusive to every child.
